How Do I Enable a New Member? 1. After a new member signs up, you will need to enable that member so that they can begin doing VOW searches on your web site. This is a requirement of some of the MLS we service. If your MLS does not require you to manually enable each new member, you can choose to auto-enable new members. To learn how to do this, view the member controls area of the "Controls" help section. 2. You will automatically receive a "New Member Email" when a new member signs up on your web site. To enable your new member, click the member's link in this email. This will direct you to your member's profile. For security reasons, you will need to log in first. You can also find all new members by using the Advanced Member Search. 3. On the "Member Profile" page, click "Access Controls" in the "Quick Links" area or scroll down to the "Member's Search and Access Controls"section. 4. If you wish to assign the member a ranking, type in a three character code that has meaning to you in the text box next to "Member Ranking." 5. Next, select the type of properties and what listing status the new member will be able to search for. Enter the maximum search price the member is allowed to search for. 6. In the "This member may view," section, select (by checking or unchecking the checkboxes) the key pieces of information the member may view: a. Addresses b. List Price per Square Foot c. Sold Price per Square Foot d. Assessment Calculations (List price / assessment; sold price / assessment) e. Days on Market 7. Select whether the member will receive daily property updates via email or pager alerts by selecting "enabled" or "disabled" from the drop down menu under "Send Daily Property Updates." The default setting is "enabled." 8. Enable the member access to MLS data by selecting "enabled"from the drop down menu under "Enable or change a member's access to MLS data." The default will be "disabled." 9. If you have a team, assign the new member to a teammate by selecting the agent from the drop down list next to "Member's Agent." 10. Next, select the type of welcome email your member will be sent. Your options are to send a welcome email with their name and password, their name and password only, or to not send an email. You can modify your "Welcome Email"message on the Controls page. 11. Your member will immediately be sent an email with all their current search results. You can select how many search results will be sent from the drop down list. The default is set to 100 records. 12. Click "Save Changes." |
