What options and settings are available for open houses?

Open house information is available on iMaxWebSolutions websites for listings in MLSPIN (The other New England MLS's we support currently do not provide us with this data).

Properties with open houses have an "Open House" icon on the property search results page and an "Open House" link on listing sheets.

By default, on iMax websites with MLSPIN memberships, all members will have access to the open house information.

How to Turn Open Houses Off or On for Individual Members

Agents may then turn off open house access for individual members if desired. To turn off open house access for an individual member:

1) Login to your website.
2) Click the "Members" button at the top.
3) Run a search to find the member you are interested in.
4) Click "edit" to view the member's profile.
5) Scroll down to the "Member's Search and Access Controls" area.
6) Underneath "This Member May View," uncheck "Open Houses."
7) Click the "Save Changes" button.

How to Turn Open Houses Off or On for Multiple (or All) Members

1) Login to your website.
2) Click the "Members" button at the top.
3) Run a search for all your members.
4) Select all members you wish to turn open houses off for by clicking the check box next to each of those members.
5) If you want to choose everyone on the screen, check off "Select All." Keep in mind you might have several screens of members you will need to do this for.
6) Once you have selected everyone you want to turn off open houses for, click into the "Actions for Selected Members" drop down menu and choose "Modify Selected Members."
7) To turn off open houses for all members, select "Disable" for "Open Houses," in the "Modify What My Members Can View" section on the "Modify Your Selected Members" screen.
8) To turn on open houses for all members, select "Enable" for "Open Houses," in the "Modify What My Members Can View" section on the "Modify Your Selected Members" screen.
9) Click the "Modify Priveleges" button.

Settings for Members Who Cannot View Open Houses

Members with Open House access can search for Open Houses and can view Open House icons and click on the Open House links to view the Open House date, time, and agent's remarks.

For Members who do not have Open House access, you can select one of two options which are accessed by clicking on the "Controls" button at the top and then clicking on "Edit Open House Settings."

1) Option one, which we recommend: The Open House icon and the Open House information links are still displayed but when members click on the open house link, it prompts them to email their agent (you) for information about the open house.

2) Option two turns off both the Open House icon and the Open House information link. Your member receives no Open House information.

Make your selection and save your changes. This is a global change that will affect all members who do not have access to open houses on your web site.
