How do I add one of my own images to the web site? 1. Login to your web site. 2. Click the "Web Site" button near the top of the screen. 3. Click "Upload New Image" in the right hand column. 4. On the "Upload an Image: Step 1" page, click the "Browse" button (Internet Explorer, Firefox) or "Choose File" button (Safari) in order to find the image on your computer that you wish to upload for use on your web site. 5. Once you have selected the file you wish to upload and its file path appears in the text box to the left of the "Browse" button, click the "Upload Image" button. 6. On the "Image Upload: Step 2" page, you will see a tool that allows you to re-size the image you are uploading: the current width and height of the image (in pixels) are displayed. 7. To re-size the image you are uploading, click into the text box for either the width or the height. Next, change the width or height number to the desired width or height (in pixels). When you do this, the other dimension that you did not edit (height or width) will adjust automatically to keep the dimensions of the image consistent in relation to each other in light of the change you just made. For example, if you have a photo with an initial size of width 200, height 100, and you change the height to 50, the width will automatically adjust to 100. 8. You can optionally categorize your image in a pre-defined category by clicking into the drop down menu for "Category" and making a selection. 9. Likewise, you can optionally enter a description for your image in the "Description" field. 10. When you are finished, click the "Save" button. Now your image has been uploaded and is available for use. 11. To display the image on one of your pages, follow the instructions on how to edit one of your existing pages until you arrive at the "Custom Page Editor" screen. 12. In the desired location, click the "Select New Section to Display" drop down menu and under Photos / Images, choose "Image from My Library." Click the "Add" button. 13. To find the image in your library, select the appropriate images category and / or a keyword from the file name or description. Click the "View" button. 14. You can link an image to: another web site, one of your web pages, one of your uploaded documents, an MLS, or a system function. 15. Other image controls: a. Image size - resizes the dimensions of the displayed image. This DOES NOT change the file size of the image. b. Alternate text that will display when cursor is over an image or if the image does not load correctly. This text is important for search engines. c. Image alignment. d. Line break. 16. Click "Save Changes" and then "Return." |
