Create a Home Page for Your Listing

Follow these instructions and you'll be able to:

1. Register a domain name that matches your new listing's address.
2. Create a custom web page for that listing.
3. Point the domain name at the new custom web page.

1. Register a domain name that matches your new listing.

1) Login to your website and click the "Website" button located at the top of the screen.

2) Click "My Domains."

3) On the "Domain Manager" screen, select the "Add / Transfer a Domain" button.

4) On the next screen, "Add a Domain Step 1: Find a Domain," enter the domain name for the address of the listing (ex. 123GreenStreet.com) and click the "Search" button.

5) iMaxWebSolutions runs a search to see if the domain name is available. If the domain name is already registered to someone else, the WHOIS record for that domain is displayed.

6) If it's not registered, the next screen, "Add a Domain: Step 2: Register Your New Domain," will inform you that the domain is available. Press the "Register" button.

7) On "Step 3: Confirm Registration," you will see three fields listed. In the "Domain" field, check to make sure the domain name you entered is the one you want to register. Make sure there are no typos as well. The other 2 fields "Site Name" and "Site Email Address" should contain the default information for your website account. If everything looks OK, press the "Confirm" button. Otherwise, click "Return" to make corrections.

8) You will receive an email notification (almost immediately) when your domain registration has been successfully completed.

2. Create a custom web page for that listing.

Copy the Property Listing Template to your web site.
1) Login to your website.
2) Click the "Web Site" button at the top of the screen.
3) Click "iMax Page Library" in the lower right.
4) Scroll down until you see "property-domain-template" in the Page Name column. Check the check box next to it in the left column. Note: Make sure you are not choosing the Advanced Property Listing Template, which has the page name of adv-property-domain-template.
5) Click the "Copy" button at the top or bottom of the screen. The template has now been copied to your web site so that you can use it.

Turn the template into a web page for your listing.
1) Click the "Web Site" button at the top of the screen.
2) Click "Duplicate Pages" in the right column.
3) On the "Duplicate Pages" screen, click into the drop down menu beneath, "Copy this Page," and choose "property-domain-template." In the right side of the page, under "... or create a new page," type in the name of your new page.
We recommend that the name is your listing address, with the words separated by hyphens. For example, enter 123-green-street.
4) Click the "Copy" button.

Next, edit the web page for your listing.
1) Click the "Web Site" button at the top.
2) Click "Web Pages" in the right column.
3) On the list of web pages, look in the "Page Name" column and find the page you just created. Click the "Edit" link for that web page.

3) Towards the bottom of the screen, beneath "Alternate Text to Display ..." delete "Tarr's Lane Rockport MA ..." and enter the address information for your listing. Click the "Save Changes" button, then the "Return" button.

Edit the text description of your listing.
1) Scroll down to where it says, "15A Tarr's Lane, Rockport MA $319,000." Click the "Edit" button.
2) On the next screen, under "Paragraph Title (optional)," replace "15A Tarr's Lane..." with your listing's address and price.
3) Under "Paragraph Text," delete the existing property description. Then, copy and paste in your agent remarks from your MLS listing sheet. Click the "Save Changes" button at the top. Click the "Return" button.
